My TumblrHallo everyone!
Forgive my inactivity on this site for the past three months. I have tried to thank everyone and to keep up with things but as some of you might remember, I was in Germany doing internships from August to late October.
My stay in Berlin was a productive and inspirational one, and overall I'm very happy with the experience!
For the first two months I studied under a Swedish milliner Helena Ahonen and in October I spent the rest of the month with a Finnish artist Mimosa Pale. I learned new techniques, I found new materials and I came home with approximately 150 euros worth of amazing hat materials - including 20 metres of ribbon and 14 (?) metres of fabrics! It was an amazing trip and the experiences in working for these two very different kinds of hatmakers was very educational and inspirational! I also got to see one of my favourite bands - Die Ärzte - which was of course amazing!

I can't wait to everything back in track here in Helsinki because then I can start making hats again which then means I can reopen my Etsy shop (
Cobweb Millinery)! Right now I started another internship with Gilles et Dada who I worked for last spring and I'm sure it'll be just as great as it was then!
I'm hoping I'll be able to upload lots of pictures of my work for you all too see soon!
